The downloadable adult membership book, Membership in The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), by Frank Beattie, is aimed at adult and older youth wanting to learn more about beliefs, history, polity, and the meaning of membership in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). It covers the second half of the United Methodist Confirmation and Membership program and parallels the second half of the PowerPoint Show and Leader's Guide. It focuses on a detailed history of the Presbyteriant movement, Calvin, Knox, the Westminster Assembly, the migration to Ulster, and the movement of Presbyterians to America and their impact on the formation of the new nation. Then, it features specific Presbyterian emphases such as the unique place of the Bible, the role of the Confessions, the theological principles of the Reformed tradition, the constitutional documents, the courts, local church structures, ordained ministry, social principles, worship and the sacraments and a final focus on the meaning of membership.

This downloadable 48-page booklet comes in two sizes -- a standard booklet printed on 8.5 x 11" paper and folded and collated into a 5.5 x 8.5" booklet and an 8.5 x 11" larger print document, both with color covers.  Completely downloadable, it can be economically printed on your inkjet or laser printer as often and in whatever quantites you want.  And, if any of the files are damaged or lost, they can be downloaded again up to three times at no further cost to you.

Membership in The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is usually used in tandem with the first book, Membership in the Body of Christ, but it can be used alone when you want to focus only only on the Presbyterian half of the membership program.
