Written by Ronn Kerr, illustrated by Bill McPheeters. An adventure story focused on the early ministry of Francis Asbury in the American Colonies. Because the Methodists were members of the Anglican Church, they were identified as British sympathizers during the Revolutionary War whether they were actually sympathizers or not. As head of the Methodist movement, Asbury was accosted by Colonial ruffians and nearly killed before he was rescued by John Masters. Asbury went on to preach, teach and fellowship with a Methodist group that evening. Soon, even though he was loyal to the American cause, Asbury had to hide out from Colonial soldiers at the home of Judge Thomas White in Delaware and even had to spend time hiding in the depths of a nearby swamp. The story ends with the Christmas Conference at which the new American Methodist Church was formed, Asbury was elected the first bishop of the church, and virtually served as personal chaplain to the first few presidents of the new United States after the war.

The comic is twelve 7 1/2 x 9" pages with more than 50 action frames and a full-color cover.
